Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how the Tarots mobile app ("Tarots", "we", "us") handles information when you use it. Tarots has no accounts and no sign-up — we keep data collection to the minimum needed to generate your readings and to show ads that fund the free app.
Information we process
- Your question and draw. When you request a reading, the question you type, the chosen spread, the drawn cards, and your selected language are sent over a secure connection to our backend (Google Firebase Cloud Functions) and on to our AI provider (OpenAI) to generate the interpretation. This content is used only to produce your reading; we do not use it to identify you and we do not store it on our servers after the reading is returned.
- Reading history. Completed readings are saved locally on your device only. They are not uploaded to us. You can delete a single reading or clear all history at any time in the app's Settings, or by uninstalling the app.
- Advertising data. We show rewarded ads through Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads, Google may collect your device's advertising identifier and information such as device type, IP address, and ad interactions, as described in Google's policies. We do not receive or store this data ourselves.
- Diagnostics. Standard crash and performance logs may be processed by Google Play services. We do not maintain our own analytics profile of you.
Service providers
We rely on these third parties, each governed by its own privacy policy:
- Google (Firebase Cloud Functions, AdMob, Play services) — policies.google.com/privacy
- OpenAI (generates the reading text from your question) — openai.com/policies/privacy-policy
Advertising & your consent
If you are in the European Economic Area, the UK, or another region that requires it, the app shows a consent form (via Google's User Messaging Platform) before personalized ads are used. You can change your choice later from the app, and you can reset or limit ad personalization in your device settings (Android: Settings → Google → Ads). Choosing non-personalized ads still lets you use the app and earn reading credits.
Children
Tarots is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided information through the app, contact us and we will address it.
Your rights
Because your readings are stored locally and we hold no account for you, you control your data directly: clear it in Settings or uninstall the app. For advertising data held by Google, use Google's privacy controls linked above. Depending on where you live (for example under GDPR or the CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of personal data, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information — note that we do not sell your personal information. Data security & retention
Requests to generate readings are sent over encrypted (HTTPS) connections. Question content is processed transiently to produce your reading and is not retained by us afterwards. History remains on your device until you remove it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new "Last updated" date.
